About the Sheriff |

Victor S. Villarreal was appointed Sheriff of LaSalle County on September 29, 2006 by the Commissioner's Court of LaSalle
County. Sheriff Villarreal graduated from Alamo Area Council of Governments Law Enforcement Academy in November of 1992. He graduated as the highest ranked cadet during the academy and was awarded the Top
Cop Award at the graduation ceremony. During his more than fourteen years as a law enforcement officer, he has served the community as a Jailer / Dispatcher, Constable, Patrol Deputy, Sergeant Investigator, Internal Affairs
Investigator, Assistant Chief Deputy, Jail Administrator and Chief Deputy. Sheriff Villarreal also served for three years as Justice of the Peace in LaSalle County. Sheriff Villarreal has over one thousand hours of training approved by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education (TCLEOSE). He is also
certified as a TCLEOSE Instructor and teaches several classes to jailers and deputies. If a man has integrity, nothing else matters. If a man does not have integrity, nothing else matters. |
